Unreal Cities and Provenstudio presents a site-specific performance and video installation by Venezuelan artist MAx Provenzano. The Waste from the Barreiro industrial zone is a starting point in the construction of fragments of an idealized unreal city. What is the role of time if not to destroy symmetry? Integrating these pieces and simply doing nothing is one of the greatest acts of daring in these accelerated times of immediacy; once again, there is no originality or pretension whatsoever. Remains of an immersive Portuguese road are found putting pressure on your footsteps from bottom to top. Nothing, listen to what's inside you. What is behind the reflection of water in a bathtub?

mothermother is proud to present work by Aotearoa artist Natalie Tozer for Territory Expo in Barreiro, as part of Lisbon Art Weekend. Deucalion & Pyrrha, a large-scale, digital video installation, is a sci-fi parable that seeks knowledge from the underground and merges the art forms of dance, animation and sculpture in an experimental artwork about archaeology, time and kaitiakitanga (an Aoteoran concept of land stewardship).
